Salesforce
Connect Salesforce so your AI coworkers can work with your contacts, deals and pipeline.
Category
Overview
With Salesforce connected, your AI coworkers can work with your contacts, deals and pipeline directly: looking things up, pulling data into answers and reports, and, if you allow editing, making changes for you. They act through the account you connect, so they only see what that account can see. Salesforce can also wake a coworker when something happens, such as account created or updated or contact updated.
Setup steps
Sign in to Backdrop at app.backdropagent.com and open the AI coworker you want to give access to
Go to its Settings tab (on the coworker's page, not the workspace Settings in the sidebar)
Under Connect more, search for Salesforce and click Connect
You're taken to Salesforce. Sign in and approve access. Your coworker works as the account you sign in with, so it only sees what that account can see
You land back on the Settings tab with Salesforce marked Connected and its settings open
Optionally add a label (for example "Marketing account") so you can tell connected accounts apart
If Salesforce supports changes, use Allow editing to choose: on lets your coworker create, update and delete in Salesforce, off keeps it read-only
Optionally turn on a trigger (for example Account created or updated or Contact updated) and write what your coworker should do when it fires
Try it: ask your coworker in Slack or in Backdrop chat to pull something from Salesforce
